The Woodlands, TX – Conference Technologies, Inc. (CTI),  a communications technology solutions provider for AV/IT integration and live events, has acquired live events production services company Audio Visual Professional Group (AVPG), headquartered in The Woodlands, TX.

President and Founder of AVPG Mike Rape said he’s looking forward to combining his company’s culture with CTI’s. “We are excited to join the family culture of CTI which makes us even stronger. This is not only a fantastic opportunity for our employees but also for our extended family, our customers. The future is certainly bright, together with CTI,” Rape says

AVPG offers production services and equipment rentals for events across the country. They also specialize in installing and building permanent audio, visual, and lighting solutions for performance halls, sports facilities, and houses of worship.

“We’re excited about adding the AVPG team to CTI. Mike and his team are known for quality and professionalism in the live events arena. AVPG will help CTI deliver a fast, flexible, and fair experience to our customers. We’re excited to have them on board,” said John Laughlin, President and CEO of Conference Technologies, Inc.

AVPG was founded in 2002 by Rape who had a vision of doing production differently. Instead of continuing to talk about it, he decided to dive head-first into his own live production. AVPG had humble with the first office being in Rape’s dining room. Since then, his company has continued to see growth with the team expanding and their own warehouse in Texas.

Vice President of Live Events Tom Koch says the acquisition of AVPG will help not only CTI’s team to grow but will help put more emphasis on the customer. “This partnership will allow the inventory to grow and add new equipment, additional staff, and the support of CTI directly and continue the focus on great events and taking care of the customer first,” Koch said.

CTI is looking forward to adding AVPG to our already great live events team, making them stronger in the long haul. Everyone from AVPG will be joining the CTI team, including founder Mike Rape.
