The Principia wanted to design and integrate a Classroom of Tomorrow that provided students access to a mobile, flexible learning space with collaborative technology and furniture. Recording and videoconferencing capabilities were of vital importance in ensuring that faculty and students could evaluate and review presentations, bring in guest speakers and collaborate remotely.
Conference Technologies, Inc.® worked with Principia faculty to design a state-of-the-art classroom engineered toward flexibility and innovation. The room's furniture can be arranged easily to accommodate a larger lecture or minimized into clusters to allow for more intimate small-group discussion.
iPads, Apple TVs and mobile SMART Boards can be moved throughout the room and connected by the teacher and students. Crestron provided the control processors and interfaces used to intuitively configure the room, regardless of furniture layout.
Conference Technologies, Inc.® created a video cloud network that allowed any source to be routed to any destination. Principia faculty can record classroom sessions for later review with the in-room camera and microphone systems.
