Client Description: Tycom Global Network owns a fleet of ships to install fiber optic cabling on the ocean floor. Utilizing surface ships, submarines and remote operated vehicles (ROVs), TGN is building the world’s fiber infrastructure for connectivity.
Client's Needs: To manage this vast information network involves many people who need to see, instantaneously, signal routing, emergencies, signal traffic flow, system-management information and other technical data. In it’s creation, the system also needed to offer an aesthetically pleasing environment for existing and potential customers.
Results: Conference Technologies, Inc. (CTI) consultants and engineers collaborated with Tycom’s Facility Management Group to create an interactive audio-visual system.
Tycom’s NMC features a 27-cube Video Wall, Custom user consoles, management war-pit, Map Wall, an Interactive Multimedia Gallery, and a Global Theater. Tycom’s NMC boasts a working audio-visual system to verify signal traffic information, presented in a large visual format, graphically representing where their ships and other assets are working, in relation to a world map.
